When to choose a brushless fan

Discover the characteristics of brushless fans, the advantages they offer, and how to choose the right fan for your company.

In the air handling unit market, brushless fans are considered the best choice for those looking for superior efficiency and performance. What are the characteristics that make brushless fans so innovative? Are they always the best choice? Let’s discover together.

The characteristics of brushless fans

Compared to fans with asynchronous motors, brushless fans have structural characteristics that make them more efficient, guaranteeing:

  1. Higher performance

Brushless fans are designed to offer higher performance than traditional fans. Brushless technology eliminates the friction and wear of brushes, allowing the fan to work more efficiently and reduce operating costs.

  1. Less thermal dissipation

Brushless fans efficiently dissipate the heat generated during operation, maintaining a more stable temperature inside the unit, reducing the risk of it overheating, and extending its useful life.

  1. Compact but offering the same power

Brushless fans are more compact than traditional fans with asynchronous motors. Their small size makes them perfect for applications in limited spaces, or for integration into devices with limited dimensions, and will improve the efficiency of the entire air handling system.

  1. High dynamic performance

Thanks to the lack of brushes, brushless fans have a reduced inertia, which translates into faster and more precise changes in both air flow speed and direction.

Brushless fan applications

Although brushless fans offer significant advantages in terms of power, size and energy efficiency, they are not always the ideal choice for industry and manufacturing air handling units.

In some cases, a fan with an AC motor may offer good enough performance, while being cheaper and more robust than a brushless fan. Furthermore, thanks to technological improvements, fans with asynchronous motors can guarantee reduced consumption and greater energy efficiency.

To choose the most suitable solution, you should therefore rely on the experience and competence of an expert technician.

After carrying out an inspection and understanding your effective needs, a technician will evaluate the pressure, temperature and volume of air to be handled, and recommend the most suitable fan to optimize your investment.

Ask for an inspection by our technicians to understand if a brushless fan is really the right choice for your business.
