ErP 2020: even more stringent standards for environmental protection

The ErP 2020 regulation imposes even more stringent rules on the production of environmentally friendly motors, fans and air handling units. Let's find out together.

ErP 2020 is the third stage of implementation of Directive 2009/125/EC issued by the European Union with the aim of reducing Co2 emissions from air treatment units. It applies to both motors and fans and requires device manufacturers to radically change their modus operandi.

At CMC Ventilazione, we have always been mindful of our environmental footprint, even before ErP 2020 came into force in 2021, replacing ErP 2015  on the subject of eco-design, we had built systems that complied with the new requirements. Here's how.

Tested products

At CMC Ventilazione, all products are tested to ensure good energy efficiency and both industrial and residential ventilation units provide excellent performance with significant energy savings and reduced CO2 emissions.

Labelling of products

Our fans come with data sheets, manuals and labels that specify their energy consumption in a clear and understandable way. This allows our customers to know in advance the Co2 emissions during daily use of the products and to make internal assessments to reduce their environmental impact in other ways, e.g. by installing photovoltaic panels as we have done ourselves.

Materials

Also from the point of view of materials, our technical department has already taken steps before 2020 to make fans and air treatment units from selected raw materials that, even when they reach the end of their life cycle, do not harm the environment; aluminium structures, for example, can be recycled indefinitely without polluting the land, water or soil.

For your air treatment units, choose devices that are environmentally friendly and reduce Co2 emissions in line with ErP 2020.
